Aerial Photographic Surveys and Videos

When designing new pipelines an aerial video of the proposed route is the best way of identifying preferred options before the more detailed surveying begins on the ground.

For existing high pressure pipelines it is a requirement to produce a four-yearly audit report to prove the continued fitness-for-purpose. As part of this process it is essential to determine the population density along the route of the pipeline and to identify any new developments that may infringe the building proximity distances. The aerial video recording, accurately referenced to the pipeline records, has proved to be the most accurate and cost effective means of achieving this.
